Here is a list of all movies by American actor Chadwick Boseman

Chadwick Aaron Boseman, born on November 29, 1976, and tragically passing away on August 28, 2020, was an immensely talented American actor whose career was marked by his transformative portrayals of heroic and real-life individuals. Over the course of his two-decade career, Boseman received numerous accolades and left an indelible mark on the world of cinema. His ability to inhabit and bring to life these diverse characters garnered him two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a Critics' Choice Movie Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and an Academy Award nomination.

Boseman's journey in the world of entertainment began with his studies in directing at Howard University. He initially made his mark in the theater, winning a Drama League Directing Fellowship and an acting AUDELCO award. His 2005 play "Deep Azure" even earned him a Jeff Award nomination. Transitioning to the screen, he found his breakthrough role as baseball legend Jackie Robinson in "42" (2013). This portrayal marked the beginning of his remarkable career portraying historical figures, including the iconic singer James Brown in "Get on Up" (2014) and the trailblazing civil rights lawyer Thurgood Marshall in "Marshall" (2017).

However, it was his portrayal of the Marvel Comics superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that catapulted Boseman to international stardom from 2016 to 2019. He appeared in four MCU films, including the eponymous 2018 film "Black Panther," which earned him prestigious awards such as the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. As the first black actor to headline an MCU film, Boseman's impact was further solidified when he was named in the 2018 Time 100 list. Even after his passing, his legacy lived on through his posthumous performance in the Disney+ anthology series "What If...?" (2021), which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance.

Tragically, in 2016, Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer, a battle he chose to fight privately, all the while continuing to act and inspire others. His final films, including Spike Lee's war drama "Da 5 Bloods" and the adaptation of August Wilson's "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," were released posthumously in 2020 to universal critical acclaim. For his portrayal in "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," Boseman earned the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role, the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama, and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor, cementing his enduring legacy in the world of film.
